The Hard Aches

Indie Punk Rock mainstay The Hard Aches are releasing a new single ‘BRAIN DRAIN’, which will form side A of a split 7” that will be released with UK friends, and all round good people Muncie Girls. Muncie Girls will make their Australian debut as support of The Hard Aches June tour.

‘BRAIN DRAIN’ picks up from where 2016 EP ‘I Freak Out’ left off. Lyricisms delving into mental health, identity, as well as singer Ben David questioning his own ambitions, this is a song that is borne from insecurities, through an musical outlet that exists to give him some catharism. “I’ve never felt so alone, in a room of so many awkward people I know” - David laments, as he seeks to find his place in a world that he struggles to connect with.

Recorded at Holes & Corners Studios in Melbourne with the help of producer Sam Johnson (The Smith Street Band, Camp Cope, Bennies) the experience was a tester as they prepare a new album.
